So, we are back with one of our favorite brands! I love the clothes. MVP Collections from MLB champion Mo Vaughn, who is a man of size, that makes clothes that we really want.

I had to run to Union Square in New York City and I had to bring MVP Collections with me. I felt like I was stopping traffic at times, I felt as if the world slowed down just to get a look at what I had on from MVP!

Adrenaline: It’s Good For You.

Adrenaline is something that washes over our bodies in a huge wave and releases large amounts of epinephrine. This is a hormone that essentially increases the circulation of blood to your muscles and brain. When the rush starts to happen, your heart will start beating faster, and you will experience excitement, fear, nerves, trepidation, and exhilaration.

Sometimes in life, we crave a bit of adrenaline because maybe we’re not getting enough excitement. So here are a few examples of how you can bring some into your life.

 

High-intensity exercises

If you perform high-intensity exercises, they will kickstart your adrenal glands. This is because certain exercises put a slight stress on the body, so you produce higher levels of epinephrine. Having said that, it’s important you don’t overo this too much; otherwise, you can send your body into overdrive.

 

Climb up the mountains

Whether you decide to trek up a steep hill with your bare feet, or you hop in a truck and try a little rock crawling with vehicles from 10trailtrucks, the act itself will push you to get that rush because of the high altitude and difficulty. They trigger the release of epinephrine production, but without having to put too much stress onto any adrenal glands.

 

Fun trips out

Take time out to plan a trip full of exciting activities like skydiving, white water rafting, or even a day out at an amusement park and go on all the fast and scary rides. These will cause you to feel slightly fearful but also exhilarated, which is an absolute natural form of defense that your mind creates, and that then produces more epinephrine.

 

Participate in sports

The good thing about sports is that you not only get fit and active, but you are also made to work with other people as a team, and this in itself has its own benefits. But another thing about it is there are often competitions that include spectators, and this plays a big role in having your body release the epinephrine hormone because you are being put under pressure to perform well. Along with feeling excited and ready to win.

 

Fall in love

Without sounding all romantic, falling in love is an amazing feeling, because it’s delving into the unknown with someone that you care for. You’re accepting your emotions even though you don’t know what the future holds. Your heart will race, and you will experience a feeling of euphoria. This then creates adrenaline, along with many other hormones too, that all essentially make you feel on top of the world.

 

So as you can see, there are plenty of ways that you can trigger that incredible hormone to release itself. It all just depends on what you’re comfortable doing. But any kind of option to cause adrenaline to show up will always involve a certain amount of risk, whether that be a physical one or a mental one. So think about what you want to do, and then enjoy that rush that your body will receive.

The Gentlemen’s Curb

Everyone is passionate about something, and that passion is usually first discovered when we are pretty young. It could be drawing, writing, singing, acting, caring for others, baking, building, or anything else. As amazing as it is to be passionate about something, there are so many people on the planet that don’t pursue the thing that they love and instead wind up in a job that completely sucks the life out of them. There are so many reasons for this, like having children, or your passion not really being considered a “real job”. Well, whatever your reason, I’m here to tell you to stop. Here are three reasons why you should pursue your passion.

 

You’ll Feel Amazing

People stop spending their time on their passions for a number of reasons and usually end up wasting this time in one way or another (usually in front of the tv). Doing something more productive, like honing your talent and pursuing your passion will make you feel much better about yourself in the long run. Furthermore, if you’ve known what your passion is since you were really young, you’ll have had this entire time to perfect your talent and skill, so I’d imagine that you are fairly good at it at this point. This can help to massively build your self-esteem. This is because it feels amazing doing something knowing that you’re good at it.

The Internet Makes It Easier

Okay, while the internet might not necessarily make becoming the new Jamie Oliver or John Legend a simple task, it does make it a lot easier than it was without it. On the internet, you can find lots of advice to help you improve your passion and help turn it into a career. With websites like Youtube it is now easier than ever to get your music noticed, and then you can use a company like Nationwide to make your music physical. If you’re into writing, you can get your stories and poems out there in a few simple clicks, and you can easily post pictures of your culinary masterpieces on social media.

You Only Live Once

In the grand scheme of things, you are only on the Earth for an incredibly short period of time, so why would you want to spend any of this time doing anything other than what you love? You never know what could happen tomorrow, and the last thing that you want is to leave this planet wondering what could have happened if you’d done what you truly loved. Pursuing your passion will help you to feel like you’ve lived a full and accomplished life, regardless of anything else that has happened along the way. Your passion will also help you to make a mark in the world and will ensure that you’re known for something that wants to be remembered for, rather than the job that you hated. It doesn’t matter how old you are or where you come from, if there’s something that you love to do, don’t let anything convince you not to do it. Live your life to the fullest.

1. Where are you from?

I was raised in Newark, NJ

2. If you don’t mind sharing with our readers, what is your height?  What are your clothing sizes and measurements?

I’m 5 ‘10. Waistline 44. Dress shirt 18 1/2 neck 34/36. T-shirts 2x. Shoe size 11.5

3. What made you decide to get into acting and share your content with the world?

I don’t really consider myself an actor. I’m definitely an entertainer. I host events and I’ve had an opportunity to host an MTV Show.

What made me start sharing my content with the world would have to be the reactions I get from people after putting it out! Most people say I put them in a positive mood and even change their day! I love being that person!

4. How does it feel to represent men of size? What are your perspectives?

Men of size? I love that! Honestly, I’ve been a big guy my entire life. It’s all I know! I feel like I’m a pretty awesome representative. In the past, people have had this image of what men of size look like. There’s a whole lot of microaggressions I’d like to eliminate like, “You’re handsome for a big guy” or “You can dress for your size!”

5. In your opinion, do men of size have enough representation in the mainstream media?

Enough representation? Yes! I feel like it’s a misrepresentation though! Men of size almost always have to be the comic relief, just a friend and never the love interest (without humor) or portrayed as sexy in tv/ film/print! Are we not worthy of a Calvin Klein ad?

6. Walk us through a day in your life?

Every day I start my day with prayer. Record my Instagram content called “Evan On Everything,” I listen to something motivational on YouTube, a conversation with my manager Kyree and my days pretty much vary after that. One day might include filming interviews, being interviewed, going to an audition or a meeting. Every day includes creating of some sort!

7. ‎What led you to the host “GrossBusters?”

I wasn’t really looking for the opportunity. It kind of just came to me. At the time I was just creating funny videos on YOUTUBE and Facebook and doing a whole lot of background work on shows like Jessica Jones, Broad City & Luke Cage.

8. ‎How did you land that opportunity?

I was asked to audition to host MTV’s Grossbusters. An agency called “The House That Casting Built” reached out to me about it. They sent me a breakdown of what the show was supposed to be, I self-taped and here I am!

9. Is there anything that you want the readers to know about you?

Not Really… lol! You could always follow me on social media!  I share a whole lot of myself and my life experiences on there. It’s @evantheshow all across the board.

10. What do you have lined up next?

Currently, I host a show called “The News Rant!” The concept is pretty simple. We hand pick some amazing people to rant on things that have happened in the last 7 days. It airs every Friday at noon on EvanTheShow.com!

Does A Large Body Size Really Offer Extra Protection

Once again it’s The Gentlemen’s Curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way.  We focus on a lot of issues that men of size deal with. As a larger guy, you’ll know that other people tend to see you as invincible. Celebrity bodyguards, for example, are almost always big, broad, powerful-looking guys; if you resemble this kind of physique, you’ll find that most people expect you to be Tough with a capital T. Couple this with the gross (but sadly frequently thought) idea that black people just don’t feel pain like white people do, and you’ll find the public perception of you is that you’re pretty much indestructible.

It’s not true though, is it? (In many cases it’s absolutely true, but here are some things to look out for.)

Physical size isn’t enough to make someone feel safe, and that feeling is backed up with the statistics. Men are more likely to be assaulted or robbed than women; black people are more likely to experience violent crime than whites. So you’re stuck in a world that sees you as invincible, but actually is more likely to victimize you. Essentially, you can’t win.

So what can you do about it?

#1 – Protect yourself, especially when traveling

We all know that when we travel, we’re more likely to fall victim to issues such as mugging or pickpocketing. However, when we travel, we’re also more likely to be relaxed, and not quite as on our guard as we should be.

As a result of this, it’s always wise to make sure that you cover the need to protect yourself, and your belongings when you’re out of the country. Debate with yourself on the areas that are safe to visit in your vacation country, as well investing in a way to store valuables on your person without them being a target for thieves. On this note, many travelers find themselves debating whether to buy Neck Wallet or Money Belt products; both can be useful, and both offer higher levels of protection of your valuables than just carrying items in your pockets.

The above also applies to everyday life; taking steps to protect yourself and your valuables is never a bad idea.

 

#2 – Project confidence

The vast majority of muggers and thieves will target people that they perceive to be — for want of a better word — “weak”. While your size may disqualify you from this category for some muggers, don’t rely on it. “Weakness” is also projected in people who look shy, nervous, and unsure; so learn to walk tall with your head held high, calmly observing the world around you– odd as it may sound, this genuinely will help protect your own safety.

#3 – Don’t be afraid to ask for help

 

If you’re feeling vulnerable, nervous, or like you’re under threat, then talk to someone about it. Sure, you might be confronted with an ignoramus who wonders why “a big guy like you feels worried” (we’ve all heard it), but your size and gender do not exclude you from concerns about your own well-being. Never, ever be afraid to ask for assistance if you need it, or just give yourself a few minutes to calm down and center yourself if you’re feeling overwhelmed. You’re a big guy, not an emotionless drone.

Discovering that you’re going to be a father is an outright strange period in your life. On one hand, you’re probably delighted: you’re going to pass on the family genes and have a child of your own to raise. On the other hand, you’re absolutely terrified when you contemplate just how much your life is about to change.

How much does life change when you become a father?

  • Your relationship with your partner. It doesn’t matter if you’ve only been together for a few months or a few decades, your relationship will change– but not necessarily for the worse.
  • Some aspects of your lifestyle. The announcement of a pregnancy is going to be a big change; you may need to move house so you can make room for a nursery, and you’ll probably need to swap your two-seater sports car for the likes of a Subaru Forester so you can fit a car seat. These changes are substantial and stressful, so you may need to take time to adjust to the rapid pace at which your life changes.
  • Your time. You can expect to have less free time when you’re a father, so the duration of the pregnancy is a good opportunity to catch up with friends you might struggle to meet with over the next few years.

Becoming a father isn’t just about the practicalities. Many men struggle with the emotional toll of fatherhood, and it’s important you allow yourself to feel these emotions. Fatherhood is a huge change, and you’re going to need to mentally ready yourself for it.

If you really want to get the best out of any overindulgence/LCHF diet that you attempt then you’re going to do two things: you’re going have to go big with every meal you sit down to eat and you’re going to have to ensure that every meal that you indulge in is low in carbohydrates.

 

And one meal that you should focus on particularly when it comes to doing this is breakfast. Yes, you should go big at breakfast, even when you’re not even that hungry because this meal sets you up for the whole day ahead. And, in order to fill yourself with enough fat to see you through the day and with enough fat to burn off as you see this day through, then you’re going to make sure your breakfasts are always big in fat and low in carb. So, don’t be afraid to have a bit of bacon, even when it’s not the weekend!
