The Gentlemen’s Curb
What’s Up? What’s going on? I hope that all is well with you and yours! Thanks for stopping by my small section of the internet. The Gentlemen’s Curb is a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. We cover all topics of men of size. If you consider yourself a plus male, a big and tall male or a brawn male then this is the Gentlemen’s Curb is the site for you. There is a lot going on this summer (at some point I will share all of what is on my mind and what I have been going through.) but I didn’t have the same summer that I usually had. Here are some steps that I am taking to “redo summer” and make it better than this year.
Can We Redo Summer?
I didn’t get to go out of the country this summer so that I am a bit upset about that. My adult life got in the way, but I made a pledge to myself to make sure that I travel out of the country for myself for my birthday. You should do the same! Make sure that you celebrate your life and accomplishments because life is so fragile and like the world-renowned poet Jadakiss states: time is money Dog/ and you can’t get an hour back.” (I was able to travel to Atlanta and had the privilege to collab with some amazing models and influencer.)
My family and I were faced with huge blows this summer. We lost loved ones. One man was a beloved elder and teacher, the other man was my beloved and appreciated grandfather. (I will go into my feelings concerning my grandfather at a later time.) Death is inevitable and everyone will experience a loved one passing, but you can make plans to spend more time with your loved ones.
You can prepare now for next summer. Instead of complaining that you should have taken a healthier approach, you can start now and use next summer as a metric for improvement. Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can hold each other accountable.
It’s also helpful to remain optimistic during times of adversity. I know it’s difficult, but it’s a fight that you have to win. Remember that your mind is the strongest muscle in your body and you can’t move at all.
