Here Is What I Disliked About Full Figured Fashion Week…
The Gentlemen’s Curb is a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. As a blogger/influencer, I try to be as transparent and direct with my readers. So, I will be as honest as possible, whether it’s about clothing, vitamins, or you name it! So, in this case, I have to “keep it a thousand.” What I didn’t like about Full Figured Fashion Week was that I had such an amazing time, the days went faster than expected!(Sorry, about the click bait!) Before I knew it, Full Figured Fashion Week was over. I was a little upset because I wish we could encourage, network and advocate for people of size all of the time! Gwen Devoe and her staff have provided an outlet and I am definitely appreciative to be part of such a beautiful event. Much respect to Gwen Devoe and her staff for another amazing event. The crowd was beautiful. The women came dressed to kill, I think the women say “slay,” but I am a whole man, I am not going to say that! LOL
There were many events that took place during FFFWeek. There were networking opportunities for influencers, companies, and models all throughout the week. There were workshops to help advance your career in the industry. The fashion show finale was amazing! (Well, the parts that I saw. I had an obligation and ended up being late for the event.)But, my favorite was the Curves at Sea event. The women looked absolutely amazing! The men did their part. The crowd was absolutely runway ready and trust and know that all the women were dressed to kill and destroyed every stereotype about “plus size fashion.” Listen, I am going, to be honest with you I haven’t partied the way I did “at sea” in a very long time! Make sure that next year you are definitely in the house!
Also, it was awesome to meet and catch up with people that I speak to through the various social media networks. I have a feeling that I met some good people that will be around for a long time. Overall, the week was a success. I learned so much, got to mingle, dance and network with some good people with like minds. I woke up on Sunday wishing that there was another event to attend. Unfortunately, I will have to wait until next year. Until next time it’s the Gentlemen’s Curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way.
