Once again, it’s The Gentlemen’s Curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. In this post, I want to discuss a pressing issue for men of size. Shoes. It’s an absolute chore to find shoes in my size. It’s damn near exhausting. Sometimes, I shut down my computer and get rid of a headache. This instance reminds me of some words of Jay-Z, Kav goes through that, so hopefully, Y’all won’t have to go through that. The team at the Gentlemen’s Curb works hard to make it easier to be ourselves!

Yeah, I wear a size 15 shoe. When it came to my high school experience in regards to my shoes, it was atrocious. I was teased a lot! My own mother would crack jokes and say things like “whose boats are in the hallway?” Or this one that my siblings loved “your shoes are the last shoes made by the shoemaker.” But, after a while, I embraced my size. I found out to love these broad, wide and flat Fred Flintstone feet.
I am learning that with consistency, diligence, and patience you can conquer all! I fell like Dr. Martens had a major contribution to that task when it came to my footwear. I loved Dr. Martens ever since I fell in love watching reruns of Will Smith’s show, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. (Will Smith is one of my favorite people on the planet. We aren’t related in any way, but I have a lot of respect and admiration for the man.)
What did you think of the boots? I love them! Dr. Martens has become one of the go-to brands for boots in my size! The navy blue boots are precise. I paired the boots with a polo from Ralph Lauren from Destination XL. The joggers are from none other than The Winston Box. (A subscription service for men of size. ) The coat is from Bad Rhino! I hope you like how I put it together! If you are a size 13 and up, Dr. Martens has some selections for you!!
