The Gentlemen’s Curb
It’s The Gentlemen’s Curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. This post is about failing and our failures. Ask yourself is it a good thing to fail. By now you should already know what type of blog this is. We are a lifestyle blog that caters to men of size. Men that consider themselves big and tall, plus male, brawn or simply men of size. But, by now there is something that all men and women can relate to on this site. And in this weeks post, we will get into things that a lot of men of size don’t like to talk about. First make sure that you check out last weeks post by clicking here. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org.
One of the hardest things to do in life is to face adversity. On many occasions we would rather fold than to face all of the challenges that life has to offer. Let’s be real with ourselves, we are scared to fail, We are scared to face our family and friends when we fail. We are scared to face our significant others when we fail. Most importantly we are scared to face ourselves when we fail.
The truth is that we will fail often. The book of Proverbs 24:16 states that “a wise man falls seven times.” I will be honest. I am not a wise man nor am I a righteous man. I am imperfect just like every human on the planet. But, if wise and righteous men fail, then it would behoove me make sure that I keep pushing myself towards these goals. I know that if these men haven’t quit, then it’s my duty and obligation to push forward.
Everyday there is a new start to be great. We can get better and better. It starts with us failing. I remember being the “big man” trying to do calisthenics and I was teased. “Go to the gym.” “You don’t belong here,” they said. I Failed. But, I didn’t let the opinions and words of others stop me from what I want to do in life. Fail. Just Keep Pushing Towards Your Goal.
I hope that you got something from me sharing a bit from my past with you. Make sure that you leave a comment or subscribe to the site. Share this with someone who may need to hear these words. Until next time, it’s The Gentlemen’s Curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way.
