The Gentlemen’s Curb
What’s Going On? It’s The Gentlemen’s Curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. During these times where COVID is the result of many deaths, we are forced to take some time and be still. First, I want to offer my condolences to anyone affected directly or indirectly by the virus. Personally, I had a friend who passed away from the virus. This shxt sucks. The emotions going through my mind are too much to articulate.
How is it humanely possible to be angry, hurt, sad and happy all at the same time? Grief is one hell of an emotion to overcome. Truthfully, she was a better friend to me than I was to her at times. We use the excuse that we get busy and we can “do it tomorrow.” Time is the only luxury that we can’t afford. Even though we cleared the air, there isn’t any time to go backwards and make things run smoothly.
Seize The Day
Seize The Day. Carpe Diem. YOLO. Whatever slogan fits. Take advantage of EVERY opportunity. You’re still in the land of the living, so take this time to pursue your passions. All of them. Regardless, of the criticism, regardless of your demons, regardless of finances. Nothing on earth is promised. It’s the way in which we honor those that are no longer with us.
The stay at home order New York City has given me a different perspective on life. Please appreciate your friends and your loved ones. Make sure that you tell them and make sure that you love yourself. If you truly love yourself pursue your passion.
With us being forced to practice social distancing, I am forced to look at life differently. Our lives will never be the same. Too much pain, fear and grief for us to take these times for granted. Push forward. It’s odd that social distancing is making us more human. The distance is forcing me to become more in tune humanity. The human spirit is easing through technology My compassion for others is on an all time high. (Usually I am compassionate, but this is different.) We are reminded that we are human. Take the time to “smell the roses.” Make time for the “little.” And most importantly take time for yourself.
Until Next Time
