There Are Some Things On My Mind…
As many of you know, I have been on a journey trying to get to my goal weight of 300 pounds. Although I love my size, I think it’s imperative to be as healthy in my size. No, a certain size does not make you healthy. But, I want to make my best effort to me a man of size that is healthy. I want to change many of the perspectives and stereotypes that are damaging to the perception of men of size. We see that there are many athletes that share our structure and are more positive representations than the images and characters placed before us
By frequenting this blog, you may get the idea that I am obsessive at times. Yes, I am one of those weird people that get consumed with a project or a task that I am working on. Because of my weight, I chose to exercise via calisthenics. (I am well into my 300’s, that isn’t a secret.)I figure that I am heavy enough, if I can balance and navigate my weight, then I will be in a better position. It would make me stronger and I would be more comfortable with my body. There was an exercise that I could not do. At first, I felt defeated, but I remembered that we all have to crawl before we walk.
Let’s Walk This Road Together
So, now I am sharing my new goal with you all. I am trying to perform a static hold with one arm! I know that is extremely far fetched because of my size, but that is even more of an incentive to push forward! So, please walk with me! I am going to do my very best to reach this goal. It will be a milestone for me and I hope that I can share it with you. From the photos, you see that I have a looong way to go!
