The Gentlemen’s Curb
It’s The Gentlemen’s Curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. First, I want to Thank God for this opportunity. This site has become a hub for all men of size and modern men. For all big and tall, plus male men and brawn men. I have been a blogger that models every now and then. I have been blessed with some amazing opportunities and to be absolutely honest, I am super humbled. The humility is the catalyst that helps me to push forward. You are only as good as your last post. You shouldn’t stay in the past because time is always moving. There have been many sacrifices and many ups and downs that I have been blessed to overcome. Some struggles I made public and some struggles I made private.
This lookbook started out as a crazy idea. I stand a man that is 6’1 and 324 pounds. The idea seemed impossible and insane. I would think to myself “it would be dope to have a lookbook for men of size.” I haven’t seen a lookbook for big and tall/plus size men. (To be fair, we have lookbooks with specific brands, but not a book highlight brands for men of size exclusively.)
There are things that are bigger than me. As I child, I was always bigger than a lot of my peers. Too many times, I got the “fat” jokes. So, it made me insecure. Insecure about myself, my body and especially my abilities. I felt as I had to be one of the people that pushed for size inclusion so that those behind won’t have to experience what I went through. Those behind me need to know that there are people just like you doing amazing things!
But, we worked through my frustrations to bring you a book that’s the first of this kind.
It’s a huge accomplishment and I am extremely happy and privileged to share it with you. The pictures selected are some bold and historic photos that highlight some points of 2018.
This is an accomplishment not only for men of size but the modern men. Let’s continue to break barriers and shatter stereotypes all while being ourselves.
I want to thank all of the WOMEN who have been on the front lines of body advocacy, body positivity movement. Your courageous actions will never go unnoticed and unrecognized. Thank You.

‘Curb Year In Review The Official Big And Tall Lookbook Week One
The lookbook will highlight some impactful images from the previous year. I wanted to recreate some powerful magazine covers from a ‘Curb point of view. Iconic magazine covers at least through my lens. The ‘Curb year in review
To be transparent there isn’t a better time to launch this vision. #BlackHistoryMonth
As a man of size, I feel that it’s imperative to have appropriate representation.
It’s rare that we have someone that puts their beliefs before their own finances. Regardless of you feel, Kaepernick’s stance is noble, admirable. Colin Kaepernick took a knee only to protest police brutality during the national anthem. To protest the murdering of unarmed men and women
at the hands of police. Kaepernick didn’t protest the police. Kaepernick didn’t protest the veterans that put their lives on the line for the country. Kaepernick simply is a voice for the voiceless. Since the stance, Kaepernick lost his job and his initial message has been altered, misrepresented and made a mockery of. I felt that the TIME magazine cover was iconic.
“To Me, This Is Bigger Than Football And It Would Be Selfish On My Part To The Other Way.”
Colin Kaepernick is one of the heroes that I applaud and respect. I had to highlight someone that risked their life and livelihood to speak of those that their voice isn’t heard. Men that put the needs of the people above their own. Kaepernick used his platform to protest. Even through adversity and negativity, Kaepernick maintained his stance. Courage in the face of adversity is what breeds men.
