The Gentlemen’s Curb
The Gentlemen’s Curb is a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. We discuss many topics and issues that men of size come across. From fashion, fitness, hygiene, and grooming. But as of late, I was asked to get more personal. I am going to start sharing more of me and my personal life on this blog.
There are many instances in life where you feel like your back is against the wall. You feel like you are too high to get over and too low to get under. So, the only choice that you have is to fight. But, where does “the fight” come from? Is it an issue of desperation? Does the “mental toughness” show it’s strongest after you have been broken? When there is no other option, when we hit rock bottom, is that when we realize that it’s time to fight?
No! The perspective of waiting until you hit rock bottom isn’t the smartest move. Why wait until you are met with desperation to make steps towards progress? You have to take preventative measures, attack the problems BEFORE issues arise. I am learning this process first hand. Life is a learning process and you learn every day. Plans have to be set in motion to achieve in WHATEVER your field of study is.
Trust The Process
I am learning to take preventative measures in terms of my blood pressure. I am reducing my sodium intake before it’s a problem. I am fearful of any type of heart issues that may come. I love a lot of foods that in many cases are high sodium. I love fried chicken, the usual fast food. But, I am more than willing to make changes before it’s too late.
