The Gentlemen’s Curb
It’s The Gentlemen’s Curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. Before you continue to read, make sure that subscribe to the site. We want to stay connected with you. What’s been going on? We haven’t spoken for a while! Well, the last post took a very serious turn when we discussed strength in the strangest places you can read the post here. But, let’s get back to fashion.
Stitch Fix is a brand that provides custom styles delivered right to your doorstep! This is absolutely an era where we love convenience. We don’t like going to the post office, we don’t like having conversations face to face. We would rather send text and then get upset when we aren’t understood. In fact, we end up paying more to our internet providers because we want the internet at high speeds. We love speed and convenience! So, Stitch Fix is a brand that is definitely made for the modern consumer in mind.
The process is that you sign up through Stitch Fix’s website. You fill out the appropriate forms and provide your address and credit card information. You select the style of fashion that you like through the prompts and then a stylist “curates” a look based on the clothes that you selected. The clothes are then delivered to your door and if you don’t like the clothes then you send them back. The clothes that you want to keep you simply pay for.
To be totally transparent, I love subscription services! I am a product of this generation and sometimes I can be lazy. I love what companies such as The Winston Box and Watch Gang. But, I have a slight issue with Stitch Fix. I am a large man. There are certain brands that I CAN NOT wear due to my size.
But, I feel as if the stylist took the easy way out by sending plaid shirts. If you are a man of size, you already know the direction that I am headed towards. Plaid? I feel as if a better effort could have been made. I have been in plaid shirts all of my life! When Stitch Fix explained that they had a personal stylist, I expected so much more. I felt like more of an effort could have been made to accommodate men of size. I am a denim fanatic, so I absolutely loved the jeans. But, the style that were sent I have about 13,000 pairs already.
What did you think of Stitch Fix? What did you think of the plaid? Feel free to let us know! Leave a comment with your thoughts.
