The Gentlemen’s Curb

It’s The Gentlemen’s Curb! A lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way! We have a lot of information to share, but this post is something that you may want to pay close attention to. It’s safe to say that we all want to be able to better ourselves. We want to be able to grow and move forward and really ensure that we are making the most out of life. And to do that, you have to be sure that you’re filling your time with the right things. It can be so easy to start to fill up your days with things that are going to improve your life. From the things that can make you happier, to the things that can actually improve you as a person, you should start to take a fresh approach to how you’re spending your time. The first step is to audit your life as it is now. You’ll likely find that you have time you can fill up with more meaningful things. So let’s see what they could be.

Working Out

So first of all, one thing that you should always look to fill your time with is exercise. When you want to become the very best version of yourself, it’s essential that you’re able to take care of your health. Alongside eating well, exercise is going to be that one thing that you can do to harness your own health. So if you have an hour or so free each day, then you need to think about working out as much as possible.

Reading

You don’t have to be the biggest bookworm in the world to enjoy reading. If you want to become more knowledgeable about a range of things, and to feel cultured, reading is where it’s at. And you can’t say that you’re too busy to read or that you just don’t like it. Because we can all ready for a few minutes here and there each day. And interest wise, you just need to make sure that you’re able to try different kinds of books because there will be a style of fiction or non-fiction that you’ll love.

Studying

From here, you should then look to think about how you can improve your prospects in life. If you want to be able to start a new career as careershifters.org talks about, you’ll often want to get yourself into the best place. Studying a new topic in your own time or even going back to school in the evenings or on weekends, will allow you to do that.

Learning Something New

From here, you could then start to do something new with your time, such as learn a new skill or take up a new hobby. By following your interests, you should find that you are able to discover the perfect thing. With the right interest, like themarinebattery.com, you could really make sure that you’re using your time well. If it makes you happy, then you know it’s worth the investment of your time, energy, and money.

Giving Back

Finally, you may also want to volunteer too. Giving back is really something special. With something like moneycrashers.com, not only do you know that you’re doing something good in the world, but you’ll often feel good too.

If you have a topic that you want us to cover or if you just want to converse, feel free to contact us kavah.king@gentlemenscurb.com. Until next time, be well.

The Gentlemen’s Curb

It’s The Gentlemen’s Curb! A lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. We are back to share some information on the Keto diet.

There are many things to look forward to when dieting and getting in shape. It might not feel like it when you’re out of shape and experiencing your own form of normal, but being healthy and cardio adapted feels so much more energized, intensely rewarding and functional than any other means of living. There is an interesting passage written in ‘Starting Strength,’ one of the main compendiums of novice lifting advice. It says that while strength is considered to be a nice thing to have but not essential, and some people might consider the mental or spiritual to be domains that matter most, it’s essential to see what happens to a priest when their squat strength goes up.

This idea illustrates that there are always better or alternative methods of doing things, some which might work for you supremely well. For some habits, experiencing the benefits yourself is essential. Much like how it’s hard to describe the runners high, people often cannot understand a certain feeling or benefit unless it’s present, and here with them now. However, some things you can illustrate, and these are the most useful when it is part of a large lifestyle change.

You might have heard of the ketosis diet. This diet is gaining massive traction is recent years. It’s essential to know why. But first:

What Is The Keto Diet?

The keto diet is a diet in which you keep your carbohydrate intake to less than 20g a day. You balance this by eating around 70% fat and 20% protein – although you can go higher here. You fill the rest with leafy green vegetables – an incredible amount of them. This lack of carbohydrates switches up the usual method your body has of converting carbs to glucose, and instead, over the course of a few days, begins to run from fat. The reason for the title ‘ketosis’ is that your body produces ketones which allow it to do this. Ketones are a much more wholesome, complex and excellent method of fuelling your body.

This has been called an arguably better method of your body fuelling itself, as fat is an excellent fuel source. Think about it. We were adapted to running on large quantities of meat and vegetables or foraged foods. For thousands of years we had no access to the excessive refined carbs we find ourselves eating almost every mealtime today. Your body is fantastic at switching fuel sources as that’s also a very natural function.

Why do this? Well, people report sustained energy, improved mental clarity, better moods and more regulated emotions, healthier long-term reductions of cancer risks, and a lack of pounding appetite. It’s not hard to see why people find this appealing. However, keto can also be great to regulate diabetes, or even help with epilepsy.

What To Expect?

During the first few days of the keto diet, you will feel sluggish. This is known as ‘the keto flu.’ This is natural. Think of your car’s gas tank, emptying all the cheap diesel and running on the chugging fumes before it successful converts to premium unleaded. This is a good comparison, because fat is a much healthier fuel source, and natural. That’s right, the food pyramid of fats being less healthy than carbs has always been wrong. There are many reasons for this, but check out this resource to find out more. To get out of the keto flu more quickly, consider using products by Mr Keto (official Pruvit reseller) to switch up into Keto more quickly.

After the keto flu dissipates, you will realize that your regularity hasn’t been the same as it might have otherwise been. This is because you’ll likely be taking in slightly less roughage, but also because you might become a little constipated before your body adapts. A good remedy is to take in more fiber. From there, you’ll realize that you will urinate a lot more. This is because your body is losing water weight held in retention via the glucose. You will need to drink plenty of water during ketosis, even 3L – 4L for a healthy adult. This keeps your system flush and can contribute to your energy levels.

You can also expect bad breath. Acetone breath is notorious on keto, at least initially. These ketones are usually released in the breath, meaning that you might notice a certain smell for a time. However, brushing your teeth and especially your tongue quite often can help with this. Just wait for it to pass – it will.

Within the space of a few weeks, you will notice many things. First, that your appetite will feel like it’s in another room. You might miss a meal and not care about that, which can be great for those who are seemingly always hungry – one of the reasons why keto is so effective at helping people lose weight. Also, ketosis itself helps the fat melt straight from you. This can be an excellent thing to do.

Another benefit you’ll experience is your sleep quality. You’ll likely sleep much deeper, and thus wake up in the morning energized. When waking from your bed, it might usually take you an hour to take up. Not on ketosis. Almost universal reports praise its ability to help you rise and feel awake almost immediately. This might help lessen your intense need for coffee each morning, although bulletproof coffee can be a good thing to consume, especially with MCT Oil.

Negatives?

However, like any lifestyle change, there are some downsides. Even getting fit has its downsides, in terms of that morning battle you must make to even lace your shoes (despite it always, always, always being worth it.) The negatives you might experience come in the form of inconvenience. You have to plan for keto. You cannot eat certain things at the restaurant (such as three loaves of bread before your order comes,) or you will be knocked out of ketosis. Beer becomes a no-no, and only strict spirits can be consumed. However, one of the benefits is that keto reduces your drinking tolerance massively, meaning that you become a cheap night out.

Keto is a difficult thing to follow, but it can be tremendous for your health and healthy food habits. Consider if this is right for you, and if it does, feel free to join the millions of people making the change!

Getting Set Up For The Dream Job Interview

Applying for jobs is soul-destroying, isn’t it? The constant stream of application and form filling with the same tedious information over and over again can really put you in the wrong kind of mood. When you’re not getting responses, it’s frustrating, and so you do and redo your resume over and over again until you get that golden reply: you’ve got a job interview.

If there is one golden rule of going to a job interview, it’s to dress smartly. It doesn’t matter whether you’re interviewing for a management position in a Fortune 500 company, or you’re heading to Hansen Agri-Placement to talk about being a dairy manager on a farm; smart indicates success. The resume that you sent to your employer was your introduction to your background, but your outfit choice and your manner in the interview itself are going to introduce the company to your professionalism. It’s going to tell them a lot about you, and first impressions really do count. People – thought they shouldn’t – judge based on appearance when it comes to a job interview. They need to look at you and get that impression that you are efficient, steadfast, professional and intelligent, and they can’t gauge any of these things if you’re not dressed the part.

It’s more difficult for men when it comes to job interviews, mainly because there is one uniform that works and is universal: a suit. Women have far more choice, sure, but it doesn’t mean that some men don’t find it hard to dress for an interview. You need to ensure that your suit is pressed, clean and if you have it – tailored. Tailoring gives people the impression of wealth. You could be dirt broke and command an entirely different look in a tailored suit. When you walk into the interview, you shouldn’t be chewing gum or using your phone. If you have tattoos that are visible on the neckline or wrists, use this cover up to get them out of the eye line. They may well have tattoos themselves, but they don’t convey a professional look so there’s no harm in avoiding the job being turned down just because of them.

A lot of interviews will tell you to dress casually; it’s often a trap. Don’t do it. An interview for a job is going to cement your future and whether the office is a casual one or not, it doesn’t matter. You can avoid going fully suited and booted by meeting in the middle with lighter colored trousers, or a set of smart black jeans and no blazer. Don’t plan to go shopping the day before the interview unless it’s been arranged at the last minute. Ensure with enough time that your attire is going to fit you and is clean. You don’t want to get stuck with a filthy outfit and no way to clean it!

Good luck with your job interview: you’re going to absolutely smash it if you plan ahead and look smart. Look great, feel great, get the job.

The Gentlemen’s Curb

It’s the Gentlemen’s Curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. We are back to share some information on Qatar! Yes, Qatar. Qatar and its neighboring countries are growing in popularity for travelers. They’re especially making an effort to welcome those who want to travel in style. If luxury travel is your preferred way to see the world, Qatar has a lot to offer you. This beautiful country will ensure you have an unforgettable trip, with everything from luxury hotels to fascinating history to make your stay amazing. If you’re thinking about taking a trip to Qatar, there are some fantastic ways to have a memorable time and experience something a bit different during your travels. Take a look at these tips for exploring a historical country that has a lot to offer.

Book Into a Top Hotel

For a luxurious stay anywhere, you need to pick the right place to stay. Qatar has some beautiful accommodation options, particularly in the capital of Doha. Book yourself into the Doha Marriott Hotel if you’re looking for a 5-star experience that you can rely on. The hotel has a private beach, as well as an outdoor pool with relaxing loungers. You can keep fit in the gym, spend some time in the spa or enjoy both local and international dining options. With so much on offer, you might never want to leave the hotel.

Visit the Museum of Islamic Art

If you’re a fan of architecture, Qatar offers you some awesome options to admire. One of the buildings you can’t miss out on is the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha. Designed by I.M. Pei, it opened in 2008 and is located on its very own island. It features art from three continents from the 7th to the 19th century. Although the building itself is modern in its design, it takes inspiration from traditional Islamic architecture, including the Ibn Tulun Mosque in Cairo. As well as the exhibitions, you can watch performances of classical chamber music and Arabic music. There are also events in the park surrounding the museum.

Enjoy the High Life in Doha

Doha is a fantastic place to explore if you want to enjoy a luxury vacation. If you love to shop, you can wind your way through the traditional souqs (markets). The Souq Waqif is often regarded as the best. Or you might want to check out the Villagio Mall, an Italian themed mall with over 200 stores and an indoor canal with gondolas. You can find other malls and fine dining, as well as plenty of five-star restaurants by the water.

Explore the Desert in Style

If you’re looking for a luxury Arabian adventure among the dunes, Qatar is the perfect place for it. If you want to get out of Doha, you can enjoy a private desert safari in a 4×4 and even spend a night camping at a Bedouin camp.  If the desert’s not for you, you might want to explore the Doha waterfront instead. You can take a cruise in a traditional Arabian Dhow and even take a fishing trip where you can cook your catch for lunch. Luxury travel in Qatar can show you a side of the Middle East you might not even know exists. Try it if you’re looking for a unique travel experience.

The Gentlemen’s Curb

It’s The Gentlemen’s Curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. We are back with another one. We are here to share some information with you. Many guys of a particular generation still aren’t on board with the new ethos in the society that welcomes talking about problems whether these are to do with health, relationships or money. Some men in their more twilight years still find it difficult to open up and believe in stoicism and dealing with their issues themselves. While this can be an admirable trait, it can also become quite dangerous. Bottling up problems can lead to isolation and a feeling of hopelessness. Being more open to talking about health issues means that depression and anxiety don’t have to creep into men’s lives.

As we get older, we all become afflicted with more health problems. An extra niggle here, an ache there and a twinge every so often is part of the aging process. There are also other aspects of aging that are less easy to deal with and can cause a lot of stress. This is why men must learn to talk about their feelings and how their health is affecting them emotionally. International campaigns have been launched over the past five years or so trying to banish the stigma of sharing problems and talking about health issues. While younger men are connecting to the message these campaigns are putting across, older gentlemen are still having a hard time opening up. Take a look at these three health issues and why men must begin to leave their egos at the door and talk.

Baldness

There has been a surge in the popularity of hair implants in an effort to combat male baldness. Celebrities from across the spectrum have chosen to tackle their hair loss head on and painstakingly implant follicle after follicle in an attempt to reclaim their youth and limit the impact of low self-esteem. As with many things, baldness is only an issue if you let it become one. Men throughout the ages have seen a full head of hair as equating with health, vigor and vitality. However, this is nonsensical. Some of the most robust gene pools in the world have male baldness within their genetic makeup. Take Prince William for example. The second in line to the British throne has been losing his hair since his early twenties and yet he chooses to embrace his lack of locks. Other men also prefer to welcome their newfound hairlessness. Bruce Willis is the ultimate action hero, and the similarly bald Jason Statham is not far behind.

If baldness and its effects are bothering you, it’s essential that you talk to someone about your feelings before a relatively minor affliction takes hold and causes you all sorts of emotional issues.

Andropause

Although not as well known as the female menopause, andropause can be just as life-impacting for men. Feelings of depression, fatigue, mood swings, night sweats and low libido can result in a pretty miserable existence. Many men will just see their afflictions as a sign of getting old, but this needn’t be the case. Instead of suffering in silence it’s vital that you see a medical professional who can advise on the right course of treatment to try and combat the unwanted symptoms. By embarking on a course of bioidentical hormone therapy, you may be able to wave goodbye to the muscle loss, hot flushes and memory loss problems and feel more like a normal human being again.

By not talking, men do not realize that others share their ailments and that they are not alone. The stigma of talking about health issues is diminishing, and it’s crucial that men of a certain age embrace their newfound freedom to unload their worries and seek help when they need it. When having a tipple at the local drinking establishment with your friends, broach the topic of health and see how your pals react. You may find that they too wish to talk about problems they might be experiencing. A problem shared really is a problem halved and the relief you feel will leave you wondering why you haven’t spoken sooner.

Weaker Bones And Joints

If you are very much the thrill seeker or love testing your limits physically, the chances are that you may have run a marathon or enjoy heading to the gym every day or relish the opportunity to scale a peak or two. As you age, your ability to do this at an optimum level decreases. While this can leave you feeling distraught, seek solace in the fact that you can still function. Many others aren’t so lucky.

Just because you can no longer run a 5k in a personal best time doesn’t mean you should stop running altogether. You merely need to adapt your workouts and physical activity. The very fact that you are choosing to exercise in your advancing years will have a hugely positive impact on heart health and your mental well being. While the mammoth weight sessions and spin classes may need to be put on the backburner, other activities can be enjoyed.

Join a new club with people of a similar age and see what activities they are choosing to complete. They may be heading off on weekend hikes, playing senior soccer or organizing charity skydives. Becoming involved with other individuals who have lost some of their physical prowess and talking to them about how they overcame the feelings associated with this will aid you in seeking out new opportunities to exercise albeit in a different way.

Never forget that you can head to your local doctor’s surgery and inquire about ways to strengthen your muscles, joints, and bones. A simple supplement may be all that is needed to see a niggle go away and help you become more physically active once again.

If you are struggling with any aspect of your health and you are male, and you are still reading this, then something has resonated with you. Don’t be embarrassed and talk to someone about your health. In the long run, by picking up the phone or chatting with a friend, you may find yourself fitter, healthier and happier.

It’s a time to establish new rules. With the advances that women have made in the “plus industry” have made platforms a lot easier for men of size. (You can read the salute to the beautiful women that have been on the front lines by clicking this link.) Because of my childhood and adolescent experiences, I am a bit cautious of the colors that I wear. (Click this link to read more.) Listen, I was a target to some because of my size. But, in the days of “new rules,” I find myself in a space where I can wear whatever I want to wear. And trust me, The Winston Box has the platform.

It’s the Gentlemen’s Curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. We are back to share some more information with you.

Need The Perfect Gift?

Do you ever have that moment where you need to find a gift for a man in your life, and you find yourself completely out of ideas? It doesn’t matter how much your wrack your brain, you can’t for the life of you figure out what to get him? Well, this is actually a pretty common problem that people find themselves dealing with all the time. It often feels like your partner has everything that he’ll ever need. So what do you get the man who has everything? Well, it’s time to start thinking a little bit differently about the gifts that you get him. Instead of just thinking about “stuff that he might like” you should start thinking about why he might want a certain gift. To help make that whole process a little bit easier. Here are some ideas that you might want to try when you next need to find your partner a gift.

Give him a sense of style

Plenty of guys are just as interested in style and fashion as ladies are, they just don’t necessarily feel as comfortable talking about it because of the kinds of stereotypes that come with being “manly.” Of course, this is total nonsense, but it’s something that a lot of guys do tend to struggle with. So why not give them a helping hand and get them something that can help them embrace a bit more style. The best way to go about it is to think about the kinds of things that your partner like, do they want to have a touch of class without sacrificing their personality? Help them tidy up their look with the Braun Series 9 range. After all, a there’s nothing stylish about a neckbeard. Perhaps they’re obsessed with the classic style of Hollywood stars, well then why not get them a well-tailored suit? Before you know it they’ll be stealing your fashion magazines!

Take him back to the “good old days”

A lot of guys are really just big kids, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that! In fact, being able to embrace your inner child and unironically love the things you loved when you were ten years old is an incredibly valuable and endearing quality in a person. So why not indulge that nostalgia with your gift? The rise in things like retro gaming and the 80s throwbacks of IT and Stranger Things have shown just how much of market there is for returning to “the good old days.” However, you should be careful, the last thing you want is for them to end up going back to being a little kid!

Offer him an experience

Of course, the issue with finding the right gift for your partner could be that you’re limiting yourself in what you think of as “a gift.” After all, a gift doesn’t need to be something that you wrap in a box and hand over to them. Why not take a trip together, or perhaps buy him tickets to a concert of his favorite band or a game played by his favorite sports team? A lot of people tend to find that experiences tend to be much more valuable to them than getting stuff anyway.

Sure, finding the right gift can be tough, but the truth is that if you put in the right amount of time and effort, then you’re almost certainly going to be able to find something that he’ll really love. After all, it really is the thought that counts.

Until the next time, it’s The Gentlemen’s Curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. Feel free to email us at kavah.king@gentlemenscurb.com if you have a topic that you want us to cover or if you simply want to stay in contact.

The Gentlemen’s Curb

It’s The Gentlemen’s Curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. We are back to share some information with you! Read this post carefully, the information that is being shared is necessary. We are presented with challenges throughout our entire lives, and each season of our life will have problems to overcome. When it comes to mental health, there are issues that can affect people of all ages, and so whether you’re trying to take care of your own mental health or want to know the best ways to look after friends and family- here are a few things to bear in mind.

In Early Life

I was once assumed that children didn’t suffer from mental health issues, however, modern research has shown consistently that this isn’t the case. Children can suffer from lots of types of mental health disorders, and so it’s important to keep an eye on this as parents and caregivers. Poor mental health in children is often a reflection of what’s going on in their daily lives, it can come about due to death in the family, abuse, bullying or other issues. In some cases, homeschooling can be an answer here as there’s no pressure from peers and children can learn at their own pace. It’s not about wrapping them up in cotton wool, but instead tailoring their education and surroundings to suit their needs. Some children are particularly sensitive, and so socializing with other children and learning some of the skills that would be learned in school is best done outside of the classroom. There are lots of helpful resources out there for homeschooling these days, check out Well-Trained Mind core subjects for example. Thanks to the internet it’s easy to ensure their goals and milestones are being met and you have access to all the information you need.  Children need a stable environment which means a home that’s safe and not constant arguments, and a school where they have friends and aren’t being bullied regularly. They also need their physical health needs met which include a healthy diet and exercise. Make it fun for them, get them involved in cooking and learning about different ingredients. Exercise should be enjoyable- playing sports, running around the park, jumping on a bouncy castle or trampoline or having a water fight are all examples. It doesn’t have to be a formal exercise, just anything to get them burning off energy, using their muscles and getting their heart rate up. If you have suffered a bad or traumatic childhood, seeking therapy and advice later in life can help you to overcome certain issues.

In Adolescence and Adulthood

For most people, any mental health issues that they are predisposed to will start to show symptoms in adolescence or early adulthood. These include hereditary conditions or brain chemical imbalances like schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. One explanation of this is because adolescence it’s a time of growth, and lots of changes are happening in the brain and the body. It can also be a result of lifestyle changes, such as taking drugs or alcohol which can both bring on certain mental health conditions if a person is predisposed to them already. During adulthood, many people suffer from anxiety and/ or depression at one time or another and that’s usually a result of the pressures of daily life. We’re told we need to grow up, get a good job, be successful, find the right partner and have lots of things done and accomplished by certain milestones. While of course all of us are on our own path, it’s easy to succumb to the pressures put on us as adults and it can lead to mental health issues. It might be the time many of us experience things like death, heartbreak, and betrayal for the first time and all of these things can be upsetting and have a knock-on effect for a while. Taking care of our mental health in adolescence and adulthood can include things like finding healthy ways to cope when times are bad. It could be getting lost in a good book for a while, treat yourself to a spa day or just a bubble bath or do some exercise. Being out in the world and navigating life alone for the first time can be scary, but don’t isolate yourself. Reach out and speak to loved ones about the way that you feel when things are rough. If it continues and you feel as though you’re not coping well, it’s important that you take responsibility for your mental health by seeking help. Your GP will be very understanding and be able to give you the best advice tailored to you. It could be medication, counseling or even just lifestyle changes that they recommend.

In Later Life

If you suffer from a mental health issue in adulthood, this won’t just go away in later life- conditions like schizophrenia, for example, can be treated but not cured so you will need to continue with medication for these illnesses. Depression and anxiety can also recur, and this can sometimes be a particular issue for elderly people. Those who live by themselves can feel very lonely, and some people can have anxiety about things like falling and not being able to call for help. They might get anxious about their loved ones dying or feel depressed about those that have passed. For elderly people, having a good support network is one of the best ways to keep on top of their mental health. Loved ones will notice when there are changes in their habits or behavior that require medical attention. For example, dementia is often spotted early on by family members due to subtle changes in personality or increased forgetfulness. There are lots of schemes that can help older adults stay social and independent these days. These can include visits from volunteers, home help where nurses visit them in their home or retirement villages. This allows people to live independently but they can easily call for help using a special device if something were to happen. Some older adults can find their mental health declines if they go into a nursing home, and so in this case keeping their independence is key.

If you workout then you will know what a buzz it can give you. You will also understand the benefits that come with it as well, but if you have never worked out before or if you find it hard to get the motivation to do it then you are not alone. Thousands of people are in the exact same situation you are, but by pushing yourself to be better physically, you can also push yourself to be better mentally.

It Can Ease Depression

Studies show that exercise can really help you to treat any mild or even any moderate depression that you have. Exercise can also help you to avoid relapsing as well. It is brilliant because it tries to boost a lot of different processes in the brain and it can also help you to promote neural growth as well. Exercise releases endorphins and this helps to promote a sense of both calm and wellbeing. This is powerful stuff, and it can even stop you from breaking out into negative thoughts as well.

It’s Great for Anxiety

Exercise is very effective at treating anxiety. It relieves tension and stress, not to mention that it can give you way more physical and mental energy. Anything that helps you to get moving can really help you and it can really help to pay attention to what you are doing before you zone out. Try and notice the sensation of your feet against the ground, the pace of your breathing and even how you feel when you are doing it. This can take the focus away from your worries and it can also make you feel more in touch with your fitness, mind and your body as well.

It Can Relieve Stress

Have you ever noticed how your body feels when you are under stress? Your muscles may be tense and you may even feel as though your neck and your shoulders cramp up as well. On top of this, you may get headaches that don’t seem to go away and this can cause you real issues. If you want to avoid all of this then exercise can be the way to go. It can help you to relieve any tension and it can also help you to gain a much higher clarity on the whole situation that you are in. Working out can also be a really positive outlet for you as well, and if you want to get some quality gear then you can check out Seal Grinder PT to find out what they have available.

Working out can be great for your mental health and you would be surprised at how easy it is for you to kickstart those endorphins. You’ll feel way better after it and you will also be able to channel your anxiety, depression and stress. Habits like working out can also be great if you want to override any of your old habits as well and this includes smoking, stress-eating and anything else of the sort.

The Gentlemen’s Curb

It’s the Gentlemen’s Curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way! We are back to share some information with you. We hope that you stay a while with us and make sure that you subscribe to the site to stay updated.

The aim of the game in business is to be a success, and a part of that success is looking the part. The times of white collars and top hats may be gone, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t be professional and fashionable all at the same time. Men are now dressing in a way that is more up to date, dapper and on trend, and his choice of clothes will reflect who he is in business along with his opinion of himself and his peers. In short, you can say a lot with a carefully chosen outfit.

A modern man is one that is clear about his goals in his professional life and will not let anything stand in his way to make those goals a reality. This man is memorable to those he speaks to, shakes hands with and his presence in the room is commanding and his presentation is unforgettable. From head to toe, this man has a fashion about him that is unbeatable. Our clothes may not define who we are as people, but they do give an impression to our colleagues and our friends. There isn’t anyone who would begrudge a sharp suit and a designer watch when it comes to presenting an image. Being well-groomed is important in the business world and for your self-esteem, so check out these four accessories that every man needs to feel commanding and ready to take on the world.

A Dark Suit. This has to be a tailored suit, but it doesn’t have to be black. A traditional two-piece suit is the staple of the closet of the working man. Darker tones like navy, charcoal and black will be easier to pair with shirts and ties of a variety of colors. You can give it a splash of color with a carefully chosen tie or pocket square.

A Designer Watch. Going for an automatic watch means that you need to take care of it. It should be polished and wound regularly with a watch winder from bestwatchwindersguide.com. A designer watch that just peeks out from the sleeve can be an excellent tool for impressing those around you. It gives the impression that you have a wealth enough for designer labels and it is indicative of a man on time!

A Pair Of Leather Shoes. Black, for universal wear, of course. Black lace-up shoes are better as an option than loafers, and if you can you should go for oxfords. They are rounded in their toe and they keep their shape far better. They complement a two-piece suit and they dress up a pair of smart jeans, too.

A Stylish Bag. Bags aren’t just for girls, you know! Indiana Jones carried a satchel and Han Solo had a Kisslock bag, so don’t knock the idea of a bag for your needs. Messenger bags and vintage satchels are your friends when it comes to carrying paperwork, though the good ol’ briefcase hasn’t gone out of fashion, either. Choose wisely to set off your outfit for the day.
