Win The Battle With Your Body
It’s The Gentlemen’s Curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. We are back to share you with you some information. We are surrounded by beauty. Not just in the hippy sense wherein every sunrise or child’s smile brings a little ray of beauty into our lives (although that’s certainly true and not to be undervalued). No, we also see beauty in the images of beauty that pursue us relentlessly as we go about our daily lives. The kind of beauty that chases us down the road on the side of a bus or towers over us on billboards. The kind of beauty that only comes with taking an extraordinarily gorgeous fluke of genetics, painting it, dressing it and airbrushing and tweaking it on Photoshop until it resembles more than a human being. Humanity 2.0. We see these images so often that they become the new norm. Now, in an age where apps enable us to tweak and alter our own image to match what we see in movies, TV shows and billboards it’s not even enough to be beautiful anymore, we have to be perfect. Is it any wonder that our growing insecurities are causing many women (and men) to feel so utterly at odds with their appearance.
If you feel fundamentally unhappy with the way you look there are many ways in which you can take action. Everyone has the right to feel good about themselves and if the above feels achingly familiar it’s time to determine the best course of action for you. You may decide that a cosmetic procedure after vectra 3D breast imaging is the right way for you to go. You might decide that you should consult a mental health professional to see if you have Body Dysmorphic Disorder, or you may feel that you can help yourself to feel better using more quotidian means. Whatever you decide to do, don’t let anyone tell you that you don’t have the right to feel good about yourself and your appearance.
Working from the outside
It’s an old adage that ladies refer to makeup as their warpaint, but makeup and clothes are, for many of us our armor against the world and our own insecurities. If you find empowerment in false lashes, immaculate nails, on-point makeup, and precision engineered hair, then you have every right to pursue it. That said, you should still take some time to work on your relationship with the person beneath the gorgeous clothes and makeup…
Working from the inside
Unless you work from the inside to address the insecurities you have with your image, you’ll only ever be papering over the cracks in your self-esteem. We all have things about ourselves that we’d like to change but if they’re profoundly affecting the way you see yourself, something has to change. Whether it’s eating healthily, getting enough exercise, taking better care of your skin or simply addressing the psychological cause of your body issues, you owe it to yourself to address your issues in whatever way you feel best for you.
But remember, in the words of Bruno Mars… You’re amazing, just the way you are! Thanks for stopping by! If you have a topic that you want us to cover, feel free to email us firstname.lastname@example.org. It’s The Gentlemen’s Curb!
