Once again it’s The Gentlemen’s Curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. We focus on a lot of issues that men of size deal with. As a larger guy, you’ll know that other people tend to see you as invincible. Celebrity bodyguards, for example, are almost always big, broad, powerful-looking guys; if you resemble this kind of physique, you’ll find that most people expect you to be Tough with a capital T. Couple this with the gross (but sadly frequently thought) idea that black people just don’t feel pain like white people do, and you’ll find the public perception of you is that you’re pretty much indestructible.
It’s not true though, is it? (In many cases it’s absolutely true, but here are some things to look out for.)
Physical size isn’t enough to make someone feel safe, and that feeling is backed up with the statistics. Men are more likely to be assaulted or robbed than women; black people are more likely to experience violent crime than whites. So you’re stuck in a world that sees you as invincible, but actually is more likely to victimize you. Essentially, you can’t win.
So what can you do about it?
We all know that when we travel, we’re more likely to fall victim to issues such as mugging or pickpocketing. However, when we travel, we’re also more likely to be relaxed, and not quite as on our guard as we should be.
As a result of this, it’s always wise to make sure that you cover the need to protect yourself, and your belongings when you’re out of the country. Debate with yourself on the areas that are safe to visit in your vacation country, as well investing in a way to store valuables on your person without them being a target for thieves. On this note, many travelers find themselves debating whether to buy Neck Wallet or Money Belt products; both can be useful, and both offer higher levels of protection of your valuables than just carrying items in your pockets.
The above also applies to everyday life; taking steps to protect yourself and your valuables is never a bad idea.
The vast majority of muggers and thieves will target people that they perceive to be — for want of a better word — “weak”. While your size may disqualify you from this category for some muggers, don’t rely on it. “Weakness” is also projected in people who look shy, nervous, and unsure; so learn to walk tall with your head held high, calmly observing the world around you– odd as it may sound, this genuinely will help protect your own safety.
If you’re feeling vulnerable, nervous, or like you’re under threat, then talk to someone about it. Sure, you might be confronted with an ignoramus who wonders why “a big guy like you feels worried” (we’ve all heard it), but your size and gender do not exclude you from concerns about your own well-being. Never, ever be afraid to ask for assistance if you need it, or just give yourself a few minutes to calm down and center yourself if you’re feeling overwhelmed. You’re a big guy, not an emotionless drone.
Hopefully, you have found the information above useful and can you use the ideas to help maintain your safety at all times. Regardless of size, some people may see you as a target. Discovering that you’re going to be a father is an outright strange period in your life. On one hand, you’re probably delighted: you’re going to pass on the family genes and have a child of your own to raise. On the other hand, you’re absolutely terrified when you contemplate just how much your life is about to change.
Don’t worry: both of these reactions are absolutely normal. It’s possible to be both excited and overwhelmed; delighted and dubious. You’ve got nine months to get yourself, and your life, into shape before you take the role of father– so you’re going to need an action plan.
In some ways, your life will change absolutely. Many new fathers experience a strange change in how they see the world; they are suddenly focused more on their child than on their own ambitions. Others don’t experience this; instead, they absorb their new role into their current life and, superficially at least, their lifestyle goes through few changes. Neither of these options is the “right” one; fatherhood is a very individual thing, and you have to work out your way of getting it right.
It helps to know the changes you will definitely experience when you become a father. These can be set in stone, so you have some idea what to expect. Here’s a quick look at the biggest changes:
Becoming a father isn’t just about the practicalities. Many men struggle with the emotional toll of fatherhood, and it’s important you allow yourself to feel these emotions. Fatherhood is a huge change, and you’re going to need to mentally ready yourself for it.
It’s okay to feel scared or nervous about the idea of becoming a father. Take the time to go through the steps above, consider the whole picture, and make the changes you have to make. Ultimately, you’ll discover that fatherhood does change your life– but it’s for the better. Until next time, it’s The Gentlemen’s Curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. It’s the Gentlemen’s Curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. I have some information, it’s going to sound crazy at first, but I need you guys to read this fully before you judge! Also, at some point maybe you can try some of these methods out.
Low carbohydrate, high fat diets might sound like the enemy of all the weight shredding diet plans you’ve ever heard of or tired, but any one of them could work for you.
Yes, any one of these overindulgence diets, with include the Ketogenic diet, the Banting diet and the Atkins diet, could work for you simply because they are viable forms of weight shredding that don’t demand you to be overly strict with yourself — strictness, more often than not, be the biggest challenge diets face.
Scientifically, these sorts of diets work through the way they teach your body to burn fat as energy rather than carbs, ultimately meaning that the more fat you eat the more you will stand to burn off as you move about throughout your day.
So, don’t be afraid to embrace LCHF diets, despite them sounding as if they should be the complete opposite of what you should be doing!
If you really want to get the best out of any overindulgence/LCHF diet that you attempt then you’re going to do two things: you’re going have to go big with every meal you sit down to eat and you’re going to have to ensure that every meal that you indulge in is low in carbohydrates.
And one meal that you should focus on particularly when it comes to doing this is breakfast. Yes, you should go big at breakfast, even when you’re not even that hungry because this meal sets you up for the whole day ahead. And, in order to fill yourself with enough fat to see you through the day and with enough fat to burn off as you see this day through, then you’re going to make sure your breakfasts are always big in fat and low in carb. So, don’t be afraid to have a bit of bacon, even when it’s not the weekend!
The missing piece to your fat burning quest may just be overindulgence, so start overindulging! But, when you do, make sure you are taking take extra care with every meal that you prepare in order to ensure no carbs are slipping onto your plate unseen and unaccounted for. If that were to happen whilst you were overindulging on fatty foods you wouldn’t shed any weight, you’d put it on! So, overindulge, but overindulge in a mindful and tactical way.
And, make sure you are working out as often as you can, too, despite your busy schedule. Until next time, it’s the Gentlemen’s Curb where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. Feel free to email us email@example.com
It’s The Gentlemen’s Curb where the Gentlemen’s Curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in BIG way. Today we are back with one big and tall brand that is making a whole lot of noise. This brand has some has some great offerings. I personally use this brand to mix and match, they haven’t failed me as of yet. I am sure that they won’t fail you either!
In New York City, you can find inspiration everywhere! I am a lover of the “urban” scenery. I love the landscapes that only my city can provide. If you frequent this site, (as you definitely should! LOL) I am a lover of graffiti. The magic that can be created from an aerosol spray can is absolutely impressive. So, at any time that I can stand next to the artwork of any “urban Picasso’s.” Bad Rhino is a fitting brand to stand in front of modern-day “urban Picassos.”
You can check out more of the clothes by clicking the links in the photos above. You can see more the clothes by clicking here. What did you think of the clothes here? I love the jacket, what do you think? The plaid is dope and they have up to a size 6x. If you have a topic that you want us to cover feel free to email us firstname.lastname@example.org. It’s the Gentlemen’s Curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way.We focus on fashion, fitness and lifestyle items for men of size. But, today we are going to discuss things that can apply to all men. Well, some of these points can apply to women too! We all have priorities. Some will be based on our goals, and some will be based on the rhythm of everyday life, but we all have them. You may not even realize that you make put them in place, because a lot of the time, we all choose our priorities subconsciously. It’s just something that we tend to do when we go along with our everyday lives. However, when you feel like you’re not really on track, or you’re not working towards your goals, you have to start being a bit more proactive with your priorities. When it comes to your career, there will always be personal. However, for your lifestyle, there are five key areas that you could commit to working on to better yourself.
First up, there’s always going to be fitness. This doesn’t necessarily have to be to change your body or to lose weight, but just to feel good. Exercise is essential to great health levels. And while it’s hard to workout when you’re busy, if you can commit to doing some kind of exercise each week, you will start to notice a difference in how you feel. If you often feel sluggish and tired, then deciding to make fitness a priority is always going to be a good move for you.
Then there’s grooming. We all want to make sure that we look and feel good, but it’s not always easy to know the best ways to approach that. As you start to make your grooming regime much more of a priority, you’ll be able to uncover new products like C & Co. and routines that will work for you. Again, this isn’t about changing who you are, but about working with what you’ve got and showing off your best self.
But your priorities don’t all have to be about your body, they should definitely incorporate your mind too. Because when you want to be the very best version of yourself, you should always look to better yourself. To do this, take a look at some books for personal development. Whether it’s increasing your knowledge or improving your attitude, you’ll find that this is a great move for you.
From here, you also need to prioritize rest. Because when you’re always on the go, or you’re trying to take on too much, you’re only ever going to harm yourself in the long run. Instead, you need to try and relax and enjoy yourself so that you can benefit from staying as stress-free as possible. But that will only happen if you let yourself rest.
Above all else, you’ve also got your friends and family. Your work and your career may be important to you, so may your relationship and your immediate family circle, but you really have to work on your wider relationships too. When you make more time to see your friends and family, you’ll always feel better in yourself, and it’s great to know that you have them there and that you’re there for them too.
Let’s try to meet these goals! It’s the Gentlemen’s Curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. If you have a topic that you want us to cover, feel free to email us! email@example.com! Make sure that you comment and subscribe! Until next time!
It’s the Gentlemen’s curb a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. I want to share some information about building your self-esteem. Even the most confident of people can suffer from self-esteem lows every now and again. It’s just one of those things that life seems to throw at us. Whether you’re having a bad day, or you just feel as if you’re not at your best, self-doubt can start to creep in. While you may never be able to go a day without this happening again, you can make them as minimal as possible. When it comes to working on your self-esteem, you often think that you have to change in order to be happy. But that’s not necessarily the best cure. You’re not feeling your best because of external factors, and they’re starting to drag you down – and it’s that you need to cure.
First of all, you’re going to want to identify what’s causing your dip in confidence. When you’re able to see what’s bringing you down, you can control it. Because you, as you as, are great. You don’t have to change anything about who you are as a person; you just need to work on how you feel about yourself. Think of it as being you, but better – the very best version of yourself. So rather than think that you need to change your look, how you act, or what you believe in, you just need to work on you. To help you do that, here are ten different ways you can look to top up your self-esteem.
Stop Comparing Yourself
First of all, we’re going to address something that so many of us do – whether we think we do, or like to admit it or not. And that’s comparing ourselves. It’s a natural occurrence, especially in this social media age. We often compare where we are in life, with where others are – or what they have, or what they look like. It’s something that you may even do subconsciously. Because we can never really compare ourselves to others, because we walk different paths. All this will do is bring you down. But when you stop, you’ll find that you can walk your own path and continue to make it great.
Don’t Fit The Mold
When you compare yourself, you may feel the pressure to be like others. But this is only ever going to harm your self-esteem. It can lead you to feel unworthy. Instead, you’re going to want to focus on that personal path of yours and stick to it. You don’t have to be a clone of someone else or work to their rules. Be bold and make your own!
Embrace Who You Are
It’s at this point that you need to learn to embrace the person that you are. When you accept everything about yourself, from your strengths and weaknesses to your looks and your shape, you will start to feel more confident. At the same time, you need to get to know yourself. The things that you like and that you re are important here, so begin to understand yourself. It will help you to stay true to yourself.
Pursue Your Passions
As you start to feel more comfortable in your own skin, and love who you are as a person, you’ll be able to find out what you love most in life. By uncovering your passions, you can then start to pursue them. Whether it’s a career path, a hobby, or a way of life, as you start to follow your own path, your self-esteem will naturally rise.
Try Out Mindfulness
While the four steps above are incredibly important for keeping you grounded and happy in yourself, you may find that external sources still try to knock your calm. Because stress can come in a whole range of forms, and threaten to take you down again. To counteract this, try out the mindfulness techniques in Selfication.com guide. Mindfulness can be a great way to cope with the stress and pressures life throws at us.
Focus On Your Health
From here, you’re then going to want to start focusing on you. And not only does this mean your happiness, but your health too. You’re doing something for your mental health with mindfulness, but you will need to start looking after your body as much as possible, and fitness can help with that. Not to change your body or fit the mold, but to be healthy for you!
Invest In Your Wardrobe
As much as self-esteem is feeling and mind-related, you can influence how you feel by focusing on how you look. Sometimes, it’s a simple as dressing well to feel good. So treat yourself. Whether that’s something custom from Chookhare.com or a few new basis from your favorite store. By investing in your wardrobe, you’re investing in you and your confidence.
Prioritize Your Grooming
From clothing to taking care of yourself, you’re also going to want to make sure that you have your grooming routine down. Because you’re always going to feel better when you take care of yourself. By finding a routine that works for your, you’ll get a mini confidence boost every morning.
Spend Time With Positive People
Next, you need to think about your social life. Because if your network is mainly negative, this will affect your self-esteem too. Instead, you need to surround yourself with positive people. The benefits of this, as Success.com suggest, are incredible. When you have good people in your life, their attitude rubs off on you, they champion you, and it helps you to believe in yourself too. So surround yourself with positive people and role models with similar outlooks and interest as you.
Take Time Of For Yourself
And above all else, you have to make sure that you’re putting yourself first. This means taking some time out, relaxing and resting, and staying away from stress as much as possible. Because if you’re stressed out all of the time, it will heavily impact on your self-esteem. So start to put yourself first, and combined with everything else, you should find the confidence levels you’ve always wanted.

The Gentlemen’s Curb is a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a BIG way. Here on the ‘Curb, we focus on providing a platform for men and women of size with not only lifestyle suggestions, but fashion and fitness suggestions as well.
One of my favorite brands for men of size has become the Winston Box(you can read more here). The Winston Box is a service that delivers style boxes to men of size monthly once you subscribe. The Winston Box has a factory built with the finest cotton from Peru. (Trust me when I say that it’s incredibly soft! I was honestly surprised!)
So. I wanted a bomber jacket that fit me. For some reason the other bombers that I have, I didn’t like the way that other bombers fit me. Some were too wide and too long and ultimately, I felt that they weren’t the style for me.
At The Curvy Fashionista’s Style Expo, (TCFStyleExpo) I saw a prototype of the bomber and I tried to contain my excitement since July of 2017. FINALLY, I got my hands on one and I feel even more excited and it’s definitely worth the wait. The jacket is black with gray sleeves and I must admit, I am now trying to find every reason in the book to wear the jacket.
I paired the look with a Scoop t-shirt from Winston Box, along with some distressed jeans from Boohoo and of course, in appropriate New York City fashion, some black construction Timberlands. This look is perfect for any casual day at work, or the popular NYC brunches.
Let us know what you think of this look! Make sure that you leave a comment or shoot us an email with your thoughts. The email address is firstname.lastname@example.org. Until next time, much love to the good folks at Winston Box that are advocating for men of size in the fashion world.
The Gentlemen’s Curb is a lifestyle blog where fashion meets fitness in a big way. We focus on all topics that apply to men of size, but to all men. But as of late, I have had some issues with AMC’s The Walking Dead. The show is one of the hottest shows on television, why not discuss the show with one of the hottest clothing brands for men of size, The Winston Box!
For those that don’t know TWD is a show that deals with the world after the zombie apocalypse. A random man wakes up from a coma and the world is run by “The Walking Dead.” According to reports, Rick’s is assumed to be dead and the whole the audience sees the world through Rick’s perspective. Rick is shocked when he wakes up to find a world that he knows nothing about.
Throughout the seasons, we have loved Rick’s the tenacity of Rick’s group. We also mourned the “deaths” of some of our favorite character from the show. We grew and loved how The group overcame adversity and always persevered no matter the consequence or who stood in the way. The group made it through the zombie ambush of Hershel’s farm, quarrels with the Governor and the cannibals at Terminus.
The future of the show is now in question. It seems as if the show would end very soon. The mid-season finale revealed that Carl, the beloved son of the character Rick would “die,” in an encounter, Carl was bitten by a zombie. This action changes the dynamic of the show considerably. How does this change the dynamic of the show? Will Rick and company become more aggressive with the war with Negan? Does this make the group desperate? The action of Carl being bitten definitely changes TWD world.
What are your thoughts on the mid-season finale? Can the group ever recover? What is the next move? Much love to The Winston Box, who help make this post possible. Make sure that you check out all of the styles that they have to offer! To be honest, you try to look as good as possible while at work. It doesn’t matter what your job is, the focus remains the same. You will always want to look your best, this will improve and affect the way that you are treated at work, as well as how you approach the work itself. And for those who just want to seek a sense of style while working the day job, there’s nothing wrong with that. In this post, we are going to look at some of the minor details that you will want to pay attention to in order to ensure that you are always looking your best at work. Get these right, and you are on the right track!
No matter how much you want to express yourself in how you dress, you will always need to be cautious in at work. In the workplace, you will be expected to remain as smart as you can, and that means that you’ll have to find a way to make these two things mesh well. Be smart about the little things: try to keep your shirts tucked in, make sure your shoes have that professionally polished shine. These are minor things, but these things add up to make for a better look on the whole. Pay attention and you will be getting the best of both worlds.
A lot of men struggle with their hair when they are dressing for work. The truth is that it depends on what you are doing. You don’t want to stand out so much that it causes a problem, but find some way to make your hair look unique can be really useful for feeling your true stylish self. What exactly to do with your hair depends on you and what your own style is, and nobody can really tell you what works and what doesn’t here. But you should try out a few different styles over time and see what seems best, and then stick to it until you find something you feel is better. Keep it fresh, but keep it true to yourself above all.
If you have to wear a uniform for work, or even just a strict dress code, you should also feel able to find a way to express yourself in how you dress. This can sometimes seem almost impossible with the strictness of some dress codes, but the truth is that there is always a way. Consider it something of a challenge to try and express yourself as best as you can while still paying attention to what is expected of you at work. If you can manage to find a way to walk this line, you will find that it is beneficial for your own sense of style – and for keeping your employer’s happy as well. Everyone wins.
