On Tuesday, November 14, 2017, the congregation of Bnai Adath Kol Beth Yisrael was met with a tragic fire that blazed through the building. Fortunately, no one was physically harmed in the fire, but the damage is devastated not only the community but the entire city of Brooklyn empathized with the community. The fire took about one hundred firefighters to put out, because of the structure of the building. I witnessed the tragic event and it caused some sleepless nights and some bouts of anxiety. At times I succumbed to drinking heavily, but it only eased the pain temporarily. Click the link here to watch news coverage of the unfortunate event here.
Rebuild. Rebuild! Rebuild!!!
The fire has left us in desperate need of assistance. The fire has totaled about 1.5 million dollars in damages. We are in a financial bind. We have raised a solid amount of money through our Go Fund Me campaign. (If you would like to support you can support by clicking the link here.) The hooded sweatshirt is on sale in an effort to raise funds to help rebuild Bnai Adath Kol Beth Yisrael. (You can read more about Bnai Adath Kol here.) With your support, we can reach this milestone, but only with your support.
